Urban ministry leaders, pastors and their spouses rarely take breaks. Many have never had professional counseling to help them navigate through the chronic stress that they usually have no idea they are suffering from. This lack of self-care often results in depression, burnout, or worse.
I Am My Brother's Keeper cares deeply for these leaders and their spouses and we are determined to help them maintain a healthy balance between ministry and family so that they can continue to serve in the communities that desperately need them.
Provide one year of counseling for one educator or ministry leader.

Provide an Anniversary Getaway or a Family Vacation.

Anniversary Getaway - Provide an educator or urban ministry leader and his/her spouse with a weekend getaway on their anniversary. Cost: $600
Goal: Provide an Anniversary Getaway for 12 urban leaders.

Family Vacation - Provide a one-week vacation for an urban ministry leader and his family. Cost: $2,600 (to Chicago). Add $300 for each child.
Goal: Send 12 urban ministry leaders and their families on vacation.
